Consolas Font

Consolas is the new Microsoft Font for Visual Studio 2005. This font is ugly. It is very similar to Lucida Console, but the instructing is very sloppy, or perhaps non-existent. The following images are close-ups of Courier 10, Lucida Console 10, and Consolas 10. These are the displays on a 1600 x 1200 monitor. As you can easily see, Microsoft has failed to instruct this font in any reasonable manner.

Still, if you can stand to read it, it is probably a bit more legible than Lucida Console, and a bit narrower than Courier. This means it is even easier to get your code 2-up in Visual Studio and still have room for the Solution Explorer.

I still haven't decided if I can stand to read it.
